In order to both musically and artistically complement the work undertaken at the Summer Academy*, Lydia Jardon wished to invite other artists of an exceptional level in chamber music concerts.

I felt it was important to create a link between this very powerful place, Ushant, and the encounters with top-level artists coming from different horizons and experiencing music as a shared pleasure and a joy.

2008 will thus be welcoming the Eighth Women Musicians’ Encounters at Ushant. This a very new festival whose national and regional media aura is directly due to the concept on which the event is based: encounters of women musicians on the Isle of Ushant in homage to the Ushant women who, still today, express their profound specificity and originality."

Concerts will be performed at the Saint Pol Aurélien Church, Lampaul or at "Salle polyvalente", route du Creac’h, Ushant: details are avaliable on this page.
Tickets are avaliable at the Tourist Office and on concert evening. – Price: 10 € each concert, 55 € for six concerts and free for younger than 10.
At the end of each concert, the audience is invited
to join the performers
for a friendly drink, a moment of conviviality
and encounters.
